Welcome to JOYN. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your purchase of our products. By using our site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

JOYN is operated by JOYN LLC with our primary studio and operations in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, and warehouses in the United States, the United Kingdom and India.

  • Measurements are approximate

These natural variations in handmade products are not considered defects.

Availability

All products are subject to availability. We make products in small batches, so items may sell out. If an item you've ordered becomes unavailable, we'll notify you and offer:

  • A full refund
  • Store credit
  • An alternative product (with your approval)

We reserve the right to limit quantities purchased per person or per order.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices

  • All prices are listed in the currency shown on the website (USD, GBP, INR, or other applicable currency)
  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • The price charged will be the price displayed at the time you complete your order
  • Prices do not include applicable taxes, duties, or shipping costs unless stated otherwise

Taxes and Duties

If we cancel your order after payment, we'll issue a full refund.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where you are located:

  • For customers in India: Laws of India, with courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand having exclusive jurisdiction
  • For customers in the United Kingdom: Laws of England and Wales, with courts in England having exclusive jurisdiction
  • For customers in the United States and worldwide: Laws of the State of Arkansas, USA, with courts in Arkansas having jurisdiction

This choice of law does not override mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal action, we encourage you to contact us to resolve the issue informally. We're committed to working with you to find a fair resolution.

If informal resolution fails:

  • We both agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation
  • If that fails, disputes may be resolved through the courts identified above based on your location

24. SMS Marketing Terms

Service Description

JOYN's mobile messaging service (the "SMS Service") allows you to receive text messages from us about orders, promotions, and updates. By opting in to our SMS Service, you agree to these SMS Terms.

Your Consent

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS marketing:

  • You consent to receive recurring SMS/text messages from JOYN sent through our messaging service provider (Klaviyo)
  • You agree to receive both transactional messages (order updates, shipping notifications) and promotional messages (sales, new products, special offers)
  • Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system
  • You confirm the mobile number you provided is your own
  • You understand this consent applies even if your number is on any Do Not Call list

Important Information About SMS

Your participation is voluntary

  • You don't have to sign up for SMS to make purchases from JOYN
  • Your consent is not a condition of any purchase
  • Participation is completely optional

Costs and frequency

  • We don't charge for the SMS Service
  • However, message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply
  • Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with us (typically 2-4 messages per month for promotional messages, plus order-related messages as needed)
  • Check with your wireless provider for details about your plan

You're responsible for

  • All charges and fees from your wireless carrier related to SMS messages
  • Maintaining a valid mobile number in our system
  • Updating us if you change your number

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving messages at any time:

  • Text STOP to any message from JOYN
  • Click the unsubscribe link in any text message (where available)
  • Email us at joynteam@shopjoyn.com

You'll receive one confirmation message that you've been unsubscribed. After that, you won't receive any more messages unless you opt in again.

Note: If you've subscribed to multiple JOYN messaging programs, you may need to opt out of each separately.

The SMS Service works with major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and others.

Carrier disclaimer: Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to network coverage and carrier limitations.

Our Responsibilities and Limitations

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We're not liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected message delivery
  • We're not responsible for errors in messages
  • We're not liable for actions you take (or don't take) based on SMS messages
  • We're not responsible for any issues caused by your wireless carrier

Privacy
