We Make Things by Hand
JOYN creates handmade bags and block printing supplies from our studio in the foothills of the Himalayas. Each piece is crafted start to finish, cut, stitched, and signed by hand in small batches. We design pieces with personality for your everyday wear, made using traditional techniques. Fair wages, thoughtful materials, and craft that lasts.
Where We Started
JOYN began in 2010 in a small block printing workshop in Rajpur, in the foothills of the Himalayas. A group of friends who believed in making things the slow way; carved wooden blocks, hand-mixed inks, patterns stamped one color at a time.
What started small, grew into a full studio making bags, accessories, and now block printing supplies. We're still in the same place, still working with many of the same makers, still making things by hand.

Contemporary bags made start to finish in our studio. Small batches, remnant leather, hand block-printed canvas. Each piece is signed by its maker. Bags designed to last, made to improve with age.

Creative block printing kits with everything you need to make your own patterns and prints. Made for beginners, designed for makers. Gather with others and print together. Our way of sharing our love for making in community with makers across the world.

Everything is made in our own studio, giving us full transparency on how our products are made

Hand carved printing blocks
Our block makers take our designs and carve out the negative to create our wooden printing blocks
Hand block printing
Pattern is created stamp by stamp, layer by layer before drying in the afternoon sun
Hand cut and sewn
Once pattern is printed and dry we cut out the pattern pieces by hand ready to be assembled and stitched together
Hand stitched leather
We also work with leather, carefully sourcing remnant pieces, before cutting and stitching together by hand
