Shipping & Returns
We want you to love what you receive. Here's everything you need to know about shipping times, returns, and exchanges.
Shipping
Processing time
We aim to ship within 48 hours of receiving your order (excluding weekends and holidays). During busy periods or for custom pieces, we'll let you know if there's a longer lead time.
Delivery time
Once shipped, delivery time depends on your location and the shipping method you selected at checkout. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
International orders
Duties and import taxes may apply to international shipments. These charges are set by your country's customs authority, not by JOYN, and must be paid before your order is released from customs. We can't predict these costs in advance, but your local customs office can provide estimates.
Returns & Exchanges
Our 30-day window
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of your original shipment date. Items must be in their original condition, unused, with tags attached if applicable.
Understanding handmade variations
Because each piece is made by hand using traditional techniques, your item may have slight variations from product photos. This includes natural differences in leather grain, minor irregularities in hand-stitching, or subtle shifts in block-printed patterns. These characteristics are intentional and aren't considered defects.
Our leather is 100% genuine, full-grain leather and will develop patina with time. Our cotton is hand-spun and hand-woven, so there will be minor natural variations in the fabric. This is the beauty of handmade materials.
If you're unsure whether what you received falls within normal handmade variation or represents an actual issue, email us, we're happy to talk through it.
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange an item for the same piece, we'll do our best to accommodate you if the item is in stock. If it's not available, we'll issue store credit once we receive your returned item at our warehouse.
Refunds
We can refund your original payment method or issue store credit, your choice. Refunds are processed once we receive your returned item at our warehouse and confirm it's in original condition. Please allow 5-7 business days after we receive your item for the refund to appear in your account.
Please note: We'll send you a shipping label so we can cover your return shipping to our warehouse.
Damaged or Defective Items
We inspect every piece before it ships, but if something arrives damaged or defective, we'll make it right.
Within 30 days of delivery, contact us with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damage
- Brief description of the issue
We'll send you a replacement if the item is in stock, or issue a full refund including your original shipping cost.
What about natural wear?
Our materials, genuine full-grain leather and hand-spun, hand-woven cotton, are designed to develop character with use. Leather will soften and develop patina; cotton will show gentle wear patterns. This is how handmade materials age, and it's not covered under our damage policy.
Geographic Restrictions
We currently accept returns and exchanges from the USA, UK, and India only. We're unable to process international returns from other countries at this time. If you're ordering from outside these regions and have concerns about fit or style, please reach out before ordering, we're happy to provide additional photos or measurements.
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Don't start shipping anything back to us yet, contact us first so we can help you through the process.
- Please contact us at joynteam@shopjoyn.com and include your order number and brief explanation.
- We'll provide return instructions and send you a return shipping label
- You send the product back to our warehouse
- Refunds are processed once we receive your returned item at our warehouse and confirm it's in original condition.
- Please allow 5-7 business days after we receive your item for the refund to appear in your account.
